Thanks for this! I’ve read Presentation Zen as well and it changed the way I present as well.
Just wondering what you have found for designing your presentations. I found Impress to be a bit limiting. I really Sliderocket, although it is not free software. What do you use?

I use LibreOffice Impress with the “presenter console” module. Impress it’s not the best presenter tool, of course, but it fits quite well the Presentation Zen’s approch. The only problem is that if you have a big presentation and you export it in PDF you get poor quality images, due a bug. In this case I export it in pieces of 20 slides per file and then I cut and create the final PDF with the command line tool “pdftk”.
